Not at all! While Motherland Sounds celebrates Ethiopian and Eritrean culture, the event is open to everyone who loves good music, positive vibes, and rich cultural experiences.
In addition to Motherland Sounds, we host Honey Baby, a live Ethio-Jazz experience, and Wey Gud, a comedy show hosted by Biniam Bizuneh (Comedy Central, Jimmy Kimmel).
Motherland Sounds started as a way to bring the Ethiopian and Eritrean community together through food, music and culture. Our journey began in 2023, and since then, it has grown into an event series celebrating the sounds of the motherland and beyond.
